KIZABA

Lionel KIZABA, singer-songwriter, 2024-2025 Radio-Canada Revelations, multi-instrumentalist, and pioneer of Afro-Congolese electro music based in Montreal, has paved a unique musical path that takes his vast international audience on a journey through his Afrofuturistic universe. With a fusion of French, English, Kikongo, and Lingala, his compositions transcend language barriers. His album *Kizavibe* earned several nominations at the 2024 Juno Awards for World Music Album of the Year, as well as nominations for International Artist or Group of the Year at the Dynastie Awards, World Music Artist or Group of the Year at the Dynastie Awards, Francophone Artist or Group of the Year at the Dynastie Awards, and at the Gamiq and ALBUM/EP WORLD awards.

In 2022, he embarked on his first U.S. tour, performing on the renowned main stage of the historic New Orleans Jazz Festival alongside iconic artists such as Lionel Richie, Ceelo Green, Charlie Wilson, and The Foo Fighters. His remarkable journey continued, captivating audiences at prestigious events such as the Festival International de Louisiane, the Africa Oyé Festival in England, Mapas in Spain, Circulart in Medellin, Colombia, Womad Chile, Mundial Montreal, M for Montreal, Seoul Music Week in Korea, Global Toronto, China, and Taiwan. He skillfully weaves ancestral vocals with the vibrant sounds of Congolese Soukous and Afrobeat, infused with an Afro-Punk philosophy within his Afrofuturistic universe.
